April 26-28, 2013
2013 Wilberforce Weekend Conference
Renaissance Arlington Capital View
As Christians we have a dual citizenship: we are citizens of the Kingdom of God, but also citizens of the earthly realm. How do we live in the “in-between” of the here and the not yet, making the invisible Kingdom visible in the community in which we live? We are to reflect God’s character in every aspect of life, to be visible expressions of His love, grace, justice, and mercy in our church, community and culture. Our calling is to live as culture creators, catalysts for restoration, pushing back against the darkness of sin, bringing shalom (wholeness) to every area of culture.
Join the Colson Center and activists, innovators and catalysts who are leading the “little platoons” evidencing the love and justice of the Kingdom of God in the midst of the kingdoms of this world and in their communities. Get inspired to seek the welfare of the city in which you live.
But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare. Jeremiah 29:7
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17
