A round of applause

As some of you knew, I've been away for about a week at the Dickens Fellowship Bicentenary Conference in Portsmouth, England. It was a wonderful week with nearly 150 fellow Dickensians, and I'll have some photos and things going up on Dickensblog soon; will let you know as soon as those are available. But in the meantime, please join me in thanking Kim Moreland, Shane Morris, David Carlson, Alan Eason, Jason Bruce, and Sherrie Irvin for keeping the site running! They did a fantastic job and I'm very, very grateful to them.

I'm surprised BreakPoint didn't burst into flames or cave in on itself when Gina stepped on the plane at BWI ;)

Welcome back Gina!
She went to Portsmouth and saw Hornblower's town.
Well, yeah - no one's **totally** irreplaceable. But every so often we get definitive proof that someone single-handedly does the work of six. Congratulations, Gina, for seizing this rare opportunity. Bravo and huzzah, Gang of Six, for so smoothly imitating the inimitable.

Now, about that "Yes, I just got back from England, and no, I didn't go for the Olympics!" t-shirt . . .
I can't wait to hear the details of your lovely vacation, Gina. From the sounds of a few Facebook entries, it wasn't lazying about!
Well Done, Guys!
.
If I hadn’t known Gina was gone I wouldn’t have known Gina was gone -- if you know what I mean.

Except for that one killer clue… No YOD pops for a whole week! My head is roughly spherical again!

Gina, no truth to rumors you stopped off in Ireland to purchase a shillelagh, is there? Or do I really want to know?

Somehow, I don’t think it matters what I might want.

Welcome back, Gina. Blows to my head aren’t the only things that were missed.
