Jason, that's exactly what I've been thinking about illegal immigration in the US...except that not only should the illegals have to live in the enclave, but the liberal supporters as well! Yay! Everybody happy, right? What's that? Liberals wouldn't get to stay and destroy what's left? Surely that couldn't be their desire..say it isn't so.

(There's something about a one word imperative sentence that stirs my inner rebel to want to say "Try an' make me!" This is so even when I understand the contextual shorthand involved. On the other hand, spare the YOD and spoil the child...)
I used to have to seek irony; now, it comes knocking on my front door. We're using *legal* means to prevent agents of the *law* from stopping people who are here *illegally*?
I saw a protest sign that said "Illegals have rights, too!" It'd be funny if the protester weren't serious.

Not about America's immigrant problem but about Europe's. If there really are immigrants that want to live under Sharia why not test that? Why not build extraterritorial enclaves, rule them as protectorates, and tell incoming Moslems that they can be citizens of either their enclaves or the host country but not both. That should at least make for something they could be firm about. They probably wouldn't be firm, but no policy suggestion could stand up to that.
