National Review Mentions Chuck Colson in Freedom of Religion Post

Chuck and W. F. Buckley, Jr. mentioned in title

Kathryn Jean Lopez, editor-at-large of the National Review, penned a post entitled: WFB & Chuck Colson on Religious Freedom, dated 12/31/2012. In the post, she mentions Chuck's last contribution to the publication as part of a panel in the Can Religious Freedom Be Saved? NRO symposium of March 26, 2012. In it, Chuck wrote:

"This is a huge religious-liberty question. It isn’t about contraceptives or even abortifacients. It’s about whether the United States government can limit the free exercise of religion by telling us which of our beliefs are entitled to conscience exemptions. It would be one thing if this came through the courts; still another thing if it were passed by Congress. But this edict is handed down by unelected government bureaucrats."

Chuck's leadership in the freedom of religion debate, his role as an author of the Manhattan Declaration, and the goals and purpose of The Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview are all heralded in these NRO articles.
