Teaching Teens the Real Purpose of Sex
This BreakPoint commentary first aired in October 2000.
Here’s an English Literature quiz. And you might give it to a teenager you know.
Who wrote these lines? A man and a woman in “naked majesty” were “imparadised in one another’s arms,” lying “side by side” in the “rites mysterious of connubial love,” about which “hypocrites austerely talk,” as if such acts were somehow “impure.” Having made love, the couple falls asleep “embracing” — “and on their naked limbs the flowery roof showered roses.”

A Petition of Christian Conscience
This call for Christians to stand for truth was first broadcast in January 2010.

A few months ago, the Pew Forum released its survey of the religious landscape in the United States. Among other things, they found that 57 percent of evangelical Christians—those who follow Jesus and read the Bible—agreed with the following statement: “Many religions can lead to eternal life.”

Reviving the Virtues
This BreakPoint commentary first aired in May 1995 as part of a series on the virtues.
A Dutch physician recently admitted to killing a tiny baby girl—at her parents' request. The infant suffered from a brain defect, and the physician says he killed her under Holland's law allowing physician-assisted suicide.
A tragic lesson that what some call the right to die can easily turn into the right to kill.
