In this profoundly pro-life video, Charles Colson and R. C. Sproul discuss the challenges and utter blessing their severely disabled grandchildren have brought them and others.  As Colson says, "Max put to the test what I preached.  If I preach that all human beings are made in the image of God, then I've got to live it."  Both men believe in the sovereignty of God, and that contrary to the pro-abortion adovactes, their handicapped grandchildren were ordained by Him, and not mistakes to be disposed of.  God's Word says that children are blessings.

This is a debate about prison sentencing and reform between Pat Nolan, vice president of Justice Fellowship, Steve Cooley, district attorney of L. A,  and USC host Jody Armour.  Nolan maintains that building prisons does not make us safer, our laws are skewed, and our prison system does not prepare prisoners for release. He says we must use prisons to keep the dangerous and violent people in prison. Cooley maintains that harsher prison sentences have lowered crime rates.  Fixing the problem will require a paradigm shift away from the status quo and toward a philosophy of restorative justice.

The American founders said that all men are created equal and are endowed with certain unalienable rights. That among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They called this a self evident truth. 87 years later, Abraham Lincoln reaffirmed this idea on the Civil War battlefield of Gettysburg. And in 1963 these same words echoed from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial as Martin Luther King, Jr. urged America to fulfill the promise of its founding. But humans are separated by enormous differences in talent and circumstance. Why would anyone believe that all men are created equal? That all should be free? That all deserve a voice in choosing their leaders? Why would any nation consider this a self-evident truth? For the millions around the world who have never tasted liberty the question cries for an answer. From Acton Media.
