In the last few years, more and more younger Christians have been encouraged to deconstruct their faith. This is not the same as simply doubting, asking hard questions, or wrestling with God. We see examples of these things in Scripture, especially the Psalms and Job. 

According to Alisa Childers and Tim Barnett, deconstruction is simply a modern term for falling away from the faith. It’s not new, but it has taken a new form. And, with social media, deconstruction is more public than ever before.  

It’s vital that we understand deconstruction for what it really is, so we can respond with wisdom.
