You keep using that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means. For the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.
That famous line from Inigo Montoya in "The Princess Bride" has been coming to mind all week during this Chic-Fil-A fiasco. The restaurant and its CEO Dan Cathy has been accused of discrimination for Cathy voicing his personal support of marriage. He said nothing about, nor is there any evidence, that they refuse to serve or hire anyone based on sexual orientation.
But in response to Cathy’s comments, Boston mayor Thomas Menino said, “Chick-Fil-A doesn’t belong in Boston... We’re a city at the forefront of inclusion.” And New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn said, “We are a city that believes diversity is our greatest strength, and we will fight anything and anyone that runs counter to that.”
So to fight discrimination, in the name of tolerance, diversity, inclusion, they will discriminate and exclude? I don’t think those words mean what Menino, Rahm Emanuel and Quinn think they mean. Come to thePointRadio.org to read an excellent response by Dr. Al Mohler. I’m John Stonestreet.
