The Class Act Continues

My guess is, his impact just deepened. From the Colson Center for Christian Worldview, I’m John Stonestreet with the Point.

I’m a Colorado transplant -- not a native -- so I don’t really share the religion of all-things Broncos like the rest of this state does. Still, it’s been great having Tim Tebow here and joining the ride of numerous come from behind wins which he took the team, the state, and the nation on this past year. But the ride is over. Peyton Manning is in, and Tebow is off to the Jets.

Many Tebow faithfuls feel like he was mistreated. Perhaps. Others are happy that one of the great quarterbacks of all time has taken the helm. But for Tebow, the consistency of character that earned the respect of teammates and a nation continues. He didn’t cry foul, he didn’t demand to be heard, and when the call came from John Elway that he was being shipped off, he responded with class.

You know, Tebow’s taken a lot of heat for public displays of his faith. But, the public way he’s handled the last few weeks speaks far more loudly than Tebowing thing. The city of New York has something to look forward to. For thePointRadio.org, I’m John Stonestreet.

John,

Good piece, but a mistake in the video that will drive sports fans crazy. The overhead picture of the stadium in your video was for Boise State and not the Denver Broncos. It may not be fair, but Christians are measured against tougher standards and we must make sure all that we do is accurate and well done. I think our Lord expects that as well.
